Main feature

The basic idea of PasteREF is that you can directly paste a entries that you have copied from a reference list. You can try to copy the following reference:

F. Besenbacher, I. Chorkendorff, B.S. Clausen, B. Hammer, A.M. Molenbroek, J.K. Nørskov, I. Stensgaard, Science 279 (1998) 1913.

Paste it into the search field on the front page. Hit "Search" and PasteREF will find the reference, including a direct link to the article.

Lookup by Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

A DOI is a string that uniquely identifies electronic documents, e.g. 10.1126/science.279.5358.1913.
PasteREF automatically discovers if the search field contains a DOI.
Thus, you can simply lookup the DOI by pasting the DOI into the search field and hit "Search".

PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science etc.

Search results from PubMed, Scopus or Web of Science will usually show the DOI for the records.
Copy-paste this DOI to PasteREF and you will find the reference.

Lookup by title
